Anyone have any issues with Blue Smoke out the tail pipes? Raptor warmed up and driven 8-10 miles stop/ shut off for 15mins. Restart and Blue smoke on acceleration for 0.5-1mile after re-start. An embarrassing amount noticeable by everyone around Truck while driving. Anyone else experience this? 2019 Raptor with 20k miles on it.

Are you positive the smoke was "blue"? Water condensation will build up in the exhaust, especially after a relatively short drive in cold weather. Upon restart, the water will burn off as steam and result in a significant amount amount of white exhaust "smoke" (steam). Condensation is essentially odorless, burning oil has a very distinct smell that cannot be mistaken for normal exhaust odor.

Mine did same thing. 2019 with less than 1k on it. Dealer did the valve cover tsb and it stopped. Same thing. Drive it park for 15 minutes or so and start it to a big cloud of oil smoke. What date was it built there is a tsb on early 19s for this and oil consumption. Since repair I use amsoil signature oil and there amsoil filter no oil use no smoke

That sucks. At least it was easily diagnosed and you will be fixed up. I guess shit happens.

Dealer said it’s the first turbo they have seen. I’m sure others on here have had this issue but it’s a first for the Raptor Dealer.

Can’t say I have personally heard of them failing often. But things happen. Was the bearing shot or just a seal leaking? They may not even know other than it’s a mess.

First turbo failure I've heard of on the Raptor. It's probably happened before but I would bet it's a rare occurrence.
