Looking for some assistance. I completed all the Forscan changes to turn off the DRL and run the all the amber LED markers. Initially, the DRL and markers only worked when manually turned them on.
Then after a day or two, sporadically when driving and turning off the power, turning it back on, the DRL comes on with all the Amber markers. I checked all the Forscan changes again to make sure I did all the correct annotations.

I played with the settings through the steering wheel menu turning off, on and the delay settings to see if it would correct itself, but no luck.

The other strange sporadic event, is the lighted dash driving mode indicator would only work (light up showing which gear I’m in) when I shifted to manual mode or midway through driving the Raptor from point A to point B.

The delay DRL don’t work at all, no matter what delayed settings I’ve changed it too (even though my goal is to Permanently turn these off until it’s night time)

DRL and all markers sporadicly work when the emergence brake is set and in gear.

I’ve given this a couple of weeks, now the only consistent working event, is DRL and all amber markers on while driving with light setting in auto mode.

Tried the steering setting menu with turning the DRL on and off, doesn’t have an effect on anything (I don’t know if this option showed up before I made the Forscan changes)

I just want the DRL off and all amber markers on during the day with the lights setting in “Auto” mode.

Does anyone have any suggestions aside from Changing the Forscan back to factory settings?

Side note, the only other change I made at the same time, was increase the Headlight Amber LED brightness.

Thank you in advance for reading through this long explanation and any feedback.

Todd

The last part you said you increased the headlight Amber led brightness I’ve done a bunch of Forscan mods and just looked through the forscan forum again and don’t see that as a change. I’ve been lucky enough to not experience any unwanted effects yet. Where did you find it, and maybe that was for something else and worded poorly? It may have caused the gremlins your experiencing.

I've always wondered about this change as well. I didn't do this when I made changes through Forscan because there wasn't enough specificity in the description. I would like to hear what people say about this particular change. It might be the culprit for your gremlins?

Thanks fir the response. I found the brighten led changes here, row 7 and 8

What you linked takes me to some steering wheel thing anyway I agree with the other guy that it is not possible to increase the parking light intensity with Forscan. I'd change this value back to stock and see if it fixes your issues.

I have ambers only as DRL, pretty sure this is what I did:

I could very well be wrong, but position lamps are generally your rear tail lights. They are dimmer when acting as a driving/position lamp and light brighter red when brakes are applied. I’m sure if I’m wrong someone will chime in. I’d do just as above was stated, reset that value back to factory and see if that fixes your issues. Good luck and keep us posted on progress. If it happens to brighten/dim your led halo lights in the headlights take pictures and post them please. I’m sure other would like to do that mod too.

Not sure why the link didn’t work. Here is a picture and arrows if did pointing to the change to increase brightness. I guess it’s called “Super Duty”
