Still lost with your reasoning and was hoping to have a decent technical discussion about pros and cons of various engine configurations. That is hard with someone so driven by emotion.

I wasn’t aware of any aircraft. Which ones? Are they turbocharged? In aircraft, there are different requirements (packaging, heat dissipation), so a flat engine actually makes sense in many of them. A car is not an airplane. I used to fly a private plane with a flat 4, but it definitely was not a Subaru engine. Not willing to risk my life like that!

I got mad respect for those vett’s. If I didn’t live somewhere with so much snow and already have summertime only toys, I’d definitely own one.

I have had two Subaru’s try to race me in the last month or so and one was a freaking FORESTER with a wing! This has got to stop.

i get what you’re saying- I Can appreciate all types/makes of cars but have a particular appreciation for “bang for the buck” performance - I’m a big “function over form”
Guy, ya feel me? So I have the $$$ could buy a lot more expensive car but I prefer to put $$ into the car I own & know down to the last bolt.

As it sits around 650-700rwhp depending on fuel/dyno. Weighs 3350 lbs w/ me & a 1/4 tank. Twin disc ceramic clutch will hold 1000whp for 100,000 miles (so they say) so you can drop clutch & launch as you please. It’s a rocket ship.
