Howdy Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'm looking forward to many years of fun and advice on this forum. Just picked up a 2020 Raptor in Ford Performance Blue due to pandemic pricing. The wife wouldn't have approved dealer mark up otherwise. She's a great woman, but as former Ford employee herself, she has always told me, "I refuse to pay over MSRP". This is my fourth F-150, but first Raptor.
I was able to transfer my 20x10, -19 offset, Fuel Rampage wheels with 305 55 20 K02s over. They fit in the wheel wells but they're a bit small. MPH accuracy is, of course, effected. I'll keep the stock bead lock wheels for off-roading. Eventually, I'd like to swap out the front suspension for a slightly higher ride height to add some 35x12.5x20 BFGs. I learned the hard way that 2.25-inch leveling kit spacers on a 2017 F150 XLT basically render your shocks useless. Both front tires, temporarily on the back of the Raptor, are almost out of tread on the outer edge of the tire. There's no rubbing but I can tell, at full turn, 35s on these wheels would nick the rear of the wheel well out front. I shared pics of the wheel size differences, including partial swap with Rampage front, stock rear and the width difference from the side.
I also transferred over my Retrax retractible bed. It has handled years of abuse on three different trucks. It uses almost a foot of bed space but is otherwise mostly water tight and great for different size openings for pinning wood or other box store bulky items as needed.
Next up are rear wheel well inserts and a set of lights plus a Ford Performance bead lock kit. Eventually a bumper replacement with a *****, engine mods like a bigger intercooler, better breathing and some tuning.
I'm looking forward to the parks reopening for some eventual off-road fun.
