Noticed some random brief static coming from the center speaker (I suspect). It's really noticeable when I initiate a phone call, but I also hear it during podcasts and other music from the phone. I haven't tried with FM/AM or SAT yet. Anyone else experience this? I use car play majority of the time when it decides to actually work.

Could be a bad ground on your center speaker. does it happen when using car play?

I haven't made any modifications. The static is random and brief 1 second at most.

I notice this static on my 2020 as well.
Its brief but ongoing while on a call, almost like 2-3 seconds gap in between the static.

Well I thought it had gone away after a Sync update. Was on Bluetooth today and using web-ex and it was pretty noticeable. I usually only connect with CarPlay and hear it there on calls, web-ex and podcasts. Not so much music, but that maybe because there aren't many quiet parts and the music drowns out the static. Wish there was a solution for this.

Bad connection somewhere, not necessarily a ground, but possible. I just had similar issue pop up on my modded sound system, left front channel. I was dreading taking the damn door panel off and started back at the amp connections, of course, this is intermittent, but when I shut the truck down, I’d hear hissing and static through the front left channel, it would periodically go out. hmm...

amps got me nowhere, grounds were good, power good, no cuts, kings, severe bends, connections solid. it was weird. And it was the snap in connector going out of the DSR1 not seated fully.:oops::oops::oops:

check your wiring through the infrastructure. if you’ve modded, inspect your mods.

Hah - I actually have the same issue. I normally dont hear it while music is playing but if I'm on a call or if I just turn up the volume loud when nothing is playing, I'll hear it come every few seconds. I need to get the dealer to look at it someday ...
