I noticed that when I cold start in the morning, my coolant temp immediately shows center of the gauge. Is this happening to anybody else?

the oil takes a few miles to warm up which I know is normal. I realize that coolant comes to temp much quicker than the oil does. But in other cars I’ve owned, I’ve never seen coolant reach operating temperate (at least as indicated by gauge) immediately on startup. Usually take a minute or two.

Thoughts?

My coolant takes a good 5 - 7 mins to get to normal temp. I noticed that the other day but i couldn't remember if my coolant was normal range at cold start.

Couldn’t figure out how to upload a video. But here’s a picture of the cluster just seconds after a cold start.

Are you talking about the gauge top left? If so, that's your oil pressure which yes, should go to the middle upon startup. You can see this happen when you use auto start/stop. Take it for a drive with ASS on, hit a stop sign and watch that gauge drop to zero and back up when the truck restarts itself.
