I’m placing my 801a order tomorrow and was wondering what you guys thought about the 360 Camera option. Is it reliable? Are they expensive to replace if needed? Does it make that much of a difference?

It doesn’t cost much at $375, but I’m concerned about long term reliability as I keep my vehicles for a while. I also live in a god forsaken winter climate that includes a mandatory corrosive bath for your vehicle every year.

Thanks guys.

I can only speak from my experiences so far (5k miles) however I would say the 360 cam is a must with this vehicle if you're planning to hit the mall or the starbucks drive-thru. In all seriousness it's a tremendous help and I use it a lot. This is the largest vehicle I've daily driven and it makes the truck a lot more managable in tighter situations and really helps with parking/backing into spots.

A quick search around the forums/Facebook will show you a bunch of '20 trucks with defective cameras. It seems to be an issue on the '20 trucks specifically but it would not be enough to dissuade me from getting it if I had to do it all over again. Your 3yr/36k bumper to bumper warranty will cover it so you have peace of mind there.

I consider myself an above average driver. I’ve been to dozens of driving schools/classes, and have driven and parked a wider variety of cars than most.

With that said, I can’t park my Raptor for s**t. Seriously, I look like a 16 year old taking driving lessons when it comes to parking. Now I’ve only had it a month and I’m getting better, but, 360 is a life saver. Without it I’d hit something for sure.

Can't tell you long term reliability, but it's something i use all the time. It is awesome in off roading situations to see where you are going or what you might hit. These trucks are big and fat, so i use the front camaera everyday to park it in the garage, since it barely fits.
