The 801A gets you BLIS and cross traffic detection, which is well worth it, IMO. The Ford website actually obscures that you get this with 801A, probably to push people into 802A. The heated seats are nice in places that have winter. The tailgate applique is a minor annoyance. I don't much like how it looks and lots of dust gets behind it. When you wash it, it's hard to get it all out and it ends up drooling down the bottom of the tailgate. I also got the Torsen, which I liked in soft sand, the tailgate step, which I thought I would like but ended up not being worth bothering with, and the remote start, which I thought was silly, but ended up kinda liking. The only features of 802A that I didn't get but would like to have are the dual zone climate control, the power folding mirrors, and the universal garage door opener. $7,000 is a lot to pay for those.
I have a 19 800A and the seat is manual tilt.
As for the gauges, you can change to the 802A screen for ~1K, but you can select a single gauge with the 800a, I think I read that with forscan you can change that option to a dual gauge. If you want to watch your trans temp., you can do that easily.

The AC is a big difference, no climate control at all, just manual settings.

Also the radio is pretty bad.

These things mean nothing to me, I love my 800A.

I have dual climate control on my Mustang GT premium. I find it infuriating how many things I have to do to make simple changes compared to the good old 3 switches in my 02 Super Duty.

Considering these are “luxury” trucks, it’s too bad Ford takes the all or nothing approach instead of offering customization like Porsche. I’d love to have cloth heated/cooled seats, memory seats, and the better sound system with out adding all the extra garbage.

the days of putting a truck together by picking single items are long gone. there's a reason why 802 has so much more stuff in it than even 801 has. i was turned off to 802 mainly due to the cost but i found i use a lot of the stuff i thought i wouldn't. the keyless system and how so much is integrated is often overlooked.

The bigger splash cluster comes bundled with the large **** pocket ... Now if you tell me that the **** pocket comes with vibration/massage capability, I'm going to be really bummed that I didn't go 802A.

The 802A also comes with the large **** pocket built into the seat to make it easier for the very manly buyers.
When you say, "bigger splash cluster", I'm assuming you are talking about the "Load Shield" that will automatically drop down from the roof when it senses you are are ready for the money shot?

Maybe should dial-back your doses of ****** a bit.
:p

My dealer threw me a great price on an 801a. Looks like that’s the way I’m going.
