I noticed that COBB now offers turbo blankets for our trucks. Does anyone have any experience with these? Only one review on COBB's site, which indicates that they are a PITA to install. I can't imagine they make a big difference besides keeping under-hood temperatures somewhat lower, but let's be honest - all of us here are card-carrying mod-aholics and if there's even a tiny benefit I can imagine a lot of us are interested.

With the huge fender wells, ground clearance and massive front grille these turbo blankets are just bling. If the engine compartment was more crammed and the turbos were in a different spot then maybe...

Your wallet says thank you haha

I agree. Turbo blankets are generally designed for competition use, such as 1/4 mile runs, where the goal is to keep IATs low and the turbine housing hot on back-to-back runs. I highly doubt you'd notice any difference in a street application.

Agree, in theory good idea but really no need on this application. If it was a hot V engine With TT sitting on top of the motor then I would consider it more.
