thats what they call them

you mean a non-current.

In the car business, the 100k number brings significantly less money at retail. Most dealers will send a 100k vehicle straight to the auction and not put it on the lot. There are exceptions, as the Raptor has great re-sale value here in TX.

I'd start looking around at the Ford Store near you to see what you can get for the 18 now, and move into a new non-current if you can. Unless you plan to keep her forever, I'd get it gone before you get too close to 100K.

The only problems are 2 monitors that has the radio had to be replaced and lane departure had to be adjustusted

I'd just keep running it, no reason to think it doesn't have another 83k highway miles on it.

Sure it will depreciate, any vehicle will...go test the waters with a trade in but where will you be in two years? Same place?

Have you had any issues over the first 83k miles? That's a lot of runtime (and fuel), but current production vehicles seem to see 200k relatively easily (maybe not Dodge lol!). The main difference will be the Live Valve shocks and Recaro seat option on 19/20 (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure there were small changes like color choices as well), unless you're offroading part of those trips you probably wouldn't feel any difference at all. If it was me I'd wait until it hit 100k or just shy and see what '21 brings, and decide before the extended warranty is up, just my two cents though.
Yes 19/20 will have the new live valve shocks, and these help onroad as well as offroad.

To the OP, tough call given where you are. One path would say to just keep running it since its worked fine so far, and then you could wait to see what the 21s have in terms of the rumored read suspension upgrade. Another would be to unload it now or soon to avoid the 100k hit on depreciation and saleability. Depends on which of those you value more. I'd probably hold it for a while longer.

I’m 61 and just got my 2020 scab. I was planning to keep it forever !!
Got my son’s old 2008 focus to drive the 60 miles back and forth to work during the week. Maybe drive it to work occasionally just to show it off !! I was under the impression our raptors were built like tanks. So other than resale value, why would you get rid of it at 100k ?

I would just keep it for, if you want a nice truck.

Cause, you'll be racking up tons of miles on the next truck and in two years you'll be in the same boat. Unless, you'll be taking another vehicle to see your kids if you got a 19/20.

Or get a diesel like someone else said as they don't lose big value once you cross the 100k threshold.

Yep ditch it before it hits 100 thousand miles

I love ford trucks but they depreciate more than any other maker on the road sans a kia or Hyundai

Where are you coming up with that?
Ford trucks in general have very good resale value. The Raptor holds its value better than any other truck on the market.

You should get a super duty diesel if you drive that much. They hold value with high mikes wnd are awesome to drive too. Not sporty fun like the Raptor more like capable fun. I can crush anything type of fun

This might not be a bad idea. You can always get the Tremor Package if you want some of the off road goodies too.
