Gen 2 at the Beach

Took the family out to the beach this holiday weekend. First time I’ve been able to get the truck on the sand too.

I picked up a season pass to Fort Fisher (NC) today, I hope to get back out there during the week when it’s, hopefully, less crowded.

Haven't been out to Fort Fisher yet but North Topsail is a great time too. Let me know if you head up this way!

I’ll do that next time! We usually go to N.Topsail anyways. Was just out there this past Saturday.

We only went about 3/4 of a mile down the beach at FF, and only stayed an hour or so.

Was more of a quick test run than anything else.

Very cool. My wife wants to go to Asateg Maryland and look for shells. So we plan on doing that and driving on the beach. You all have any tips for driving on the beach? Like lower tire pressure or sand mode or just drive and not worry about it?

MY first time on the beach...LOL...
Couple more minutes and that Van was going out to Sea in High Tide....

First time on the sand?
I’d recommend air down to 15 and use 4low, take it easy, no sharp turns, stay out of the wet sand or take the risk of finding rotten sand. And get a tow strap in case you need it.
And never park and turn the truck off below the high tide line...
