Kids in car seats

I’ve had both the Lionheart and the Brica one. Have two young ones with car seats for both. Both area equally good but I like the Brica one better; thicker, better nonslip, and feels nicer. Bought two sets of each through Amazon.

I bought 4 black bath towels, folded them in 3rds, and put one below and one behind each car seat. You really don’t even see them in there and they wash easy.

I have the Brica one (soft black rubber base with blue accents) from target. I think $35 ish at target. I put one on either sides for booster seats. It works great. The mat is big enough to protect all areas of the seat. It's also thick enough to prevent long term indentations from pressure spots. The side area is narrow enough to allow the child seat buckles/clips to attach to the chassis without interfering with the belt buckles.

I use stadium seat pads; the kind you buy and take to football games to sit on made of 1” thick foam. This eliminates the dreaded stretched leather imprints from the car seat.

I went to autoanything.com and order a rear seat cover that is leather. It’s thick enough to protect the factory leather from getting indentations from the car seats. You could also fold a towel under the car seat as added protection

I use this one in my truck and SUV. So far happy with it.

Eddie Bauer makes a car seat protector. Got them at target several years ago. They worked well

If you get the 802A just keep in mind the inflatable seat belts. Not all seats support them, and the seat I ordered just before getting the truck has to use the LATCH which is not preferred...

Don't forget that the GEN2 has the upper seat belts that are also air bags. These aren't compatible with all seats and in some cases will make a crash _way_ more dangerous due to this airbag ejecting a child or breaking the seat during an impact. Be sure to check the car seat for Ford air-bag seat belt compatibility. Also don't forget to pull the bottom belt all the way out to get it to engage the reverse-lock on the belt. That lock doesn't exist on the top belt, so I think many times people just shrug and skip both.
