2020 Remote Start

Guys, I just took delivery of my 801A 2020 Performance Blue Raptor.

It has FordPass remote start as equipped, but not through the key for.

Anyone knows if this is able to be changed with a simple fob change and Forscan? Or is this an actual hardware issue.

I can remote start it with the app, but keyfob is quicker... lol..

Hate to ask this, but did you lock the door first from the fob? You have to do that even if the door is already locked.

And you tired, press lock once, and start twice?

The instructions on the key fob can eliude a few.

If you wanted remote start why didn't you get an 802A? Post a pic of the key fob that came with the truck

My 801A has remote start on the fob, and an actual key- exactly like I wanted.

I had to order remote start on my 2020 801A. It cost an extra $195, it wasn't a standard option.

I think many missed your question.....that you can start t with the APP, but can you buy a key fob and make it work. You might just have to talk to Ford Service or the parts guy. Maybe the parts guy can program one and try it on your truck, if it works, buy it.

If the truck wasn’t equipped with remote start, chances are you will need more than the keyfob. But you can add the Ford security module and remote start which is incorporated in it. It’s actually fairly cheap if you shop it around.

I added the security module to get the shock sensor integration on my 802A factory alarm. It also talks to FordPass in regards to events.
