When I got my oil changed I asked them to look it over, rained stuff still wet...... so I looked yesterday and saw this. ( see pictures below) Are these gaps normal? If not, what should the dealer do to fix this correctly? They are on both sides

I don't think that's the problem...it's the giant gaps at the bottom on the tailgate. Turn the bedlight on in darkness and close tailgate+tonneau. They're huge.

Still trying to figure out a solution to "reasonably" seal it on mine, the weatherstrip I bought is way too small for the gap.

Ok, thank you, I’ll try to weather seal/caulk. I get a kids go bag and my tow/recovery items back there and they are getting wet.

My 2020 is the same. It actually looks like poor build quality.

There used to be 2-3 intentional looking slots in the front of the beds of my '08 F-350 and my '99 F-150 for water drainage and the rest of the edges had no other gaps.

I am guessing that this is the OP’s first truck. My 1988 Mazda B2200 if you want to call that a truck, had drain holes in the front of the bed and every truck since has them.
