So a little update.

I went ahead and rolled the dice with the 35x12.5x17 Load E KO2s.

Overall impression, not as bad as I imagined. The ride is certainly stiffer by a little bit. Day to day driving I’m at 35psi vs 38psi on the stock tires. Stiffness with these pressures is roughly the same with the load e’s being noticably but not excessively stiffer across some bumps.

Off road driving, I aired down to 25psi and this was actually less stiff
than the stock KO2s at 32PSI which is what I would air them down to. I know 32 is still quite high for off road but in the terrain I usually go on, I prioritize ground clearance.

The combination of the slightly larger diameter and brand new tread made a noticeable difference in ride height. My GF noticed it the first time she got OUT of the truck and experienced the force of gravity for slightly longer than what she’s used to.

Overall I don’t regret the move so far and would probably replace them with another set of 35’s when need be. Maybe by then I can at least find some decent load D’s to make them even easier to live with.

I only have 2K on my stock tires but I think my next set of tires will be the load range C 315/70/17 Toyo AT3's.
