I did a search and didn't find anything. This may sound silly, but I have fat Flintstone hands and find it very difficult to reach the lever under the hood. I can only get one finger on the lever and it's difficult to manipulate. Has anyone modified the lever...... before I look at doing something with it.

I slid a one inch piece of 3/4" radiator hose over the lever, but it blocked it from moving all the way right to left.

I had one years ago but in the end no amount of washing could make it pristine again, so in the garbage it went. Hmm, wonder if I can get an Amazon Alexa subscription so I can just have new ones dropped off every 30 days.

Do you know you can lift the hood open almost another inch from where it pops open to when you pull the inside release? I have XXL hands and I have plenty of room to get to the latch once you tug up on the hood. It's heavier than you would think. It's the first hood I've seen where you need to almost double open it. Get your fingertips under the lip and tug it up, I think you'll find you have plenty of room.
