I recently gave up my (low mileage) 2015 F-150 to my daughter and picked up a 2013 Raptor (with 78k miles). Wifey is still trying to comprehend how this is a ‘trade up’ (Ha-ha).

I’m a die-hard Ford guy and over the past 40 years owned 2 Broncos, a Ranger, an Edge (Wifey’s) an Expedition (Wifey’s), multiple F-150s and an F-250. Stands to reason I’d eventually give the Gen1 Raptor a go too. I’m rough on my trucks and the Gen2 just seems to fancy for me.

I’ve run my rigs all over from Canada south down the Baja peninsula and back (twice). These days I enjoy the Eastern Sierras, the beaches around SoCal and the deserts from San Diego to Arizona/Nevada. While appalling to Prerunner purists, I’ll be equipping the Raptor with a cap as I truck camp (solo) with my Huskies.

Looking forward to watching and learning from those in the know and eagerly looking forward to seeing how this truck performs.

Appreciate the re-affirmation of my decision fellas’. Not that I needed it... as my mind was made up already. Haha!

Update on the Wife... So yesterday I had her Rig getting detailed for her BDay and she needed to run to the grocery store. She had options of what to drive but I handed her the keys to the Raptor. Two hours later she hadn’t got back so I called her... She was enjoying the truck it so much she drove down to the beach and back. When she got home she was all smiles, tossed me the keys and said “That’s bad ass! Best truck (we) ever had... great decision”. Hopefully this will clear some runway for tweaks, mods & changes I have in mind.

Thanks for the support and positive thoughts!

Ha Ha! That's funny, I did the same thing. Went from a '15 to my '13....

Except my reasoning was because I was on my 3rd warped dash and was not going to deal with it anymore.
