wierd Carplay volume issue

I was looking through Reddit and Twitter this morning. Waze is aware of the issue and working on a fix.

They responded to my email and said they are aware of the issue, and asked me to run Waze in debug mode, reproduce it, and send them the log.

Confirmed, its Waze. Was having this issue, deleted Waze and no problems. Will download once the issue is fixed.

I just kill it running in the background and problem solved. Then I can relaunch with zero issue.

Are we sure its Waze as the issue for me corresponded with the recent Apple iPhone update? I reached out to Apple and made them aware of the issue and even linked them to this thread.

I did the phone removal and add back on - no fix
I did the restart - no fix
Killed all open apps - no fix

What did work was disconnect the usb cable enable Siri and then back out of Siri and reconnect and volume control is back. It will usually work till the next day and I have to do it all over again.

Right, me too. Try opening Waze and then force closing it. It fixes the problem for me. No idea why.

Any idea of when they are pushing that update out?
