As I look through the Fairfield Collectibles catalog this month, I see all manner of niche automobiles from over the years; Baldwin Motion Camaros, Plymouth Belvedere GTXs, a 1959 Jaguar Mark II Saloon and yet, I have never come across a 1:18 scale, Gen 1 Raptor to add to my collection. Is this a quirk of nature that I just haven't been able to find one or do they just not exist except in fairy tales and the lore of mountain people of West Virginia? I've tried to get some of the cars that have intrigued me over the years, mostly lesser known versions of some popular sports cars: E46 BMW M3 CSL, Honda NSX Type S, McLaren GTR in Gulf racing livery; Porsche 911 GT3, E36 BMW M3 GT, Corvette Grand Sport, etc. Just never come across one like my 2012 Raptor. Anyone seen one anywhere?

Not a 1/18 scale, but I found this on Amazon shortly after I picked my full scale, while looking for parts. At the time only one was available for something like $7.00 plus delivery, new. Shortly after I looked again on Amazon for S&Gs , and they were sold out. So I got curious. Looked on eBay. Only a few, some used and as much as $20 to $30.00. ????

Anyway, it’s the closest one I found to my full sized beast. It’s a matchbox branded one and called the Ford F-150 Raptor SVT 2010. Btw, I was impressed the amount of detail inside/outside and underneath this little sucker has. Much more than I remembered back I had a whole collection my uncle would give me every now and then from the gas station back in the late sixties. Be very careful or you will go down that rabbit hole.

Took a client to view a commercial property that was for sale. The owner had 3 -4 rooms with NASCAR models. Said he had over 10,000, in and out of boxes. And all sorts of other junk. I asked how long it would take to clear all of the items. He said "months". My guy offered full price and said you have 30 days. Have a nice day.

I stumbled across this link (probably somewhere on frf) that shows a complete working model built from wood. I don’t recall the scale of the model.

I have a Mattel 1:24 scale raptor, but my daughter loved it so much, she abuses it in the sandbox. At least its doing raptor like things.

Huh, I have what might be that size at my office. Buddy bought it for me long ago, but I'm not sure the scale. If I ever go back to the office I can verify! Might be a while...
