Hey Guys

So my new baby, 2019, Crew Cab, Loaded - every option - Gents i found it used at a Dealership, one owner, $3900 miles and got it for around $58500

Fast forward one week, left the house at 4am - and smoked a Deere in my subdivision - he was coming out from between 2 sets of fences, i still cant wrap my head around how it happened, it happend so fast - and i was doing about 15-20 mph, mind you it was a big deere

So to the point - stopped and looked, no damge, yaaa, yaaaa

Then i drove the truck for about 1 hour and noticed the adaptive cruise was pickung up cars in the right lane and not passing people, then about 1.5 hours into my Drive i lost cruise and and i lost Colision detection.

So once i got to my destination, i relaized the lower plastic grill insert and license plate bracket are cracked, like $250 worth of parts, no biggie, but come to find out the radar sensor is benhind their -

So Currently i have no Normal Cruise or Adaptive cruise

I have checked the sensor and it was out of adjustment from what everoone says on here, so i adj

I even tried - disconnecting the battery for a while - no luck

So i guess, i need Forscan and have to Recalibrate or Re- enable it?

Does anybody have some better ideas and / or insructions or steps i should take before just walking back into the dealership and asking them for help.

I find it odd, that i have no normal cruise nor ACC - those options are completley grayed out on the dash, but yet i have no Check engine lights.

Thanks again for the help

Aaron / Missouri

unless you have a crazy high deductible, I’d be looking to get the whole thing looked at.

I hit a deer with my 2020 when I only had 200 miles on it. I locked up the brakes and was only doing about 5 MPH when I hit it. I was lucky I didn't flat spot my tires. When I first inspected it for damage I couldn't see any. But when I got it in my garage and looked at it closer I noticed the passenger side bumper end cap was a little closer to the tire than the other. I grabbed the end of the bumper, pulled it out. I got the tape measure out and measured all of the gaps it was all good, didn't even leave a mark.

Only downside is it goes on the Carfax if an insurance claim. Maybe you can negotiate it to not go on.

He’s got electronic trouble post collision. in addition to the parts, there’s the cruise control issues. Maybe it’s as simple as a bent bracket, but how do you fix it?

Big deal if carfax notes it. it’s not like he’s had frame sections replaced and accompanying hard parts.

Sounds like a bent bracket and maybe a damaged sensor. Either way, I would 100% get that looked at and fixed by the dealer. If the cost was at or under my deductible, I’d eat it. Actually, I’d probably eat it unless it was significantly over my deductible.
