Roush vs Shelby setup

Trying to decide if the roush performance pac 2 is worth it with the tune, cai, and exhaust. Or if I should order the Shelby setup with the cai, tune, inter cooler and pick an aftermarket exhaust separately?? I like the idea of having the roush warranty as well. Any thoughts?

I just ordered the Roush pac 1 because I didnt like how their exhaust sounds.

Can you even buy a Shelby set up without buying the entire truck?

I believe its pretty much same as Whipple set up.

But minus all the Shelby labeled stuff probably.

I was looking at a Shelby Raptor and the parts were the same as my whipple parts except the cai plate said Shelby instead of Whipple. Which would lead me to believe with the Shelby setup you wouldn’t be able to switch back to stock within a reasonable time frame.

What does the Whipple package run for a Raptor?

Is the same as on Supercharged Shelby V8 ... they use Whipple 2.9L kits just with Shelby name on top of the blower.

$2100. I got it on a group buy for $1499 when it came out. Great kit just sucked you can’t switch back to stock without a hassle. I had to leave the tune in my 17 when I traded it in but got the hard parts off.

YEp,as far as I know you can buy almost any part thats on a "Shelby Raptor" from their site....found out a while back some Dealers do the Mods inhouse and then call it a Shelby...maybe a gray area,I'm no expert....I just know in 2014 when mine was done at Shelby Factory they had different level packages from $18-20K up to $45K...mine was the "cheapie" $20K which was more performance (Whipple SC,Exhaust,Tuning,etc....and of course all the Badging)...what raises the price more is if you do Shelby bumpers,lights,tire racks,etc...more of an appearance package....Not sure if you could op out of the graphics,mine already had them on.
So bottom line,I'd say a guy could almost build his own Shelby by ordering $50K in parts... But like with most vehicle Mods...might be cheaper to just buy one done at Shelby..either way,its expensive....but SO MUCH FUN..!!
