Raptor width and driveability

I’d been in a 3/4 ton Dodge/Ram since 2004 and honestly I don’t notice the difference in width. With 37’s on your HD Ram you’ll be shocked at the shorter turning radius and the better ride quality. Sure the fenders are a pinch wider, but I’ve been so used to the big ass towing mirrors on my Ram that the Raptor doesn’t feel any wider. I’d get the 360 camera just for added comfort, but going from a HD Ram to a Raptor makes me feel like I’m in more of a sports car than truck.

so I think about it this way...

The mirrors on a raptor are no further apart than those on a regular f-150. No matter where you're "squeezing" the truck, it is in all actuality just as wide as a regular f-150.

I was kinda shocked by how "skinny" my F-250 looks and feels compared to my raptor, but in reality, the F-250 is wider when measured mirror to mirror.

I shied away from buying a raptor for a long time due to my fear of it being too wide. I should have just went for it 4 years before I actually did.

My mother is 76 and loves driving my Raptor, they are sophisticated and easy. The long Dodge is way more challenging in parking lots than a Raptor, most roads in the US are so wide you will never notice.

I am 5'1" and came from Toyota TRD pro- It took me a while to get used to it.. My main beef was its size. A year later, I have a 19 Tacoma set up with Fox 3.0 shocks and the Raptor.... Honestly, the Raptor is the most fun.. If I had to go down to 1 vehicle, raptor, Tacoma or Range Rover Sport SVR, it would be the Raptor... I agree with other posts, Bay area isn't the place for one- parking spaces are small, and garage is tight.. Other than that its the most fun truck I have ever owned.

My wife refuses to drive my Raptor for this reason lol, she’s afraid of how much bigger it is than her daily driver. I’ve had my truck for 3+ months now and she’s only driven it once. Her loss! With that being said, the 360 cameras really make a huge difference as far as parking,
getting through tight spaces, etc. Because of the cameras I actually find this truck easier to drive then my old ‘15 F-150.

It’***** or miss. A friend of mine drove one as a daily until she got her Navigator. My cousin drove mine and she thought it was too wide to drive around town.

Roads are wide enough, you just have to squeeze every now and then.

The Raptor is almost too wide for many drive-thru's and parking spaces. Add 0 offset wheels and the extra 2.5" of width become a challenge.

For driving around there's almost no difference.

My wife does not have a problem and actually likes the length of the Raptor as opposed to my old 2011 Lariat SCREW 6.5 bed. Feels it maneuvers much better.

I don't even notice the width anymore.

You’ll get used to it! I just park in the back lot when going to stores. On the road it doesn’t feel any different than a regular truck. Get one and smile all day! Haha
