Dealerships selling "demo" vehicles as new should be illegal. It's an abused perk for the GM/owner and the vehicle should be sold as used. They get around that by not titling the vehicle so it appears that you are the 1st owner. Not only that, but I can guaranteed that the vehicle was not babied and incurred some type of abuse during commuting, using it for vacations, etc.

What is the MSRP?

In general...15% of MSRP would be close to invoice.....so a $65,000 2018 should be $9,750 off for a good place to start.. $55,250.

I got $5,000 off my $68,000 MSRP back in late 2018.

Where were the 65k 2018s with 802a package combined with beadlocks and the carbon package.

I priced out the new 2020s and the decal package alone is 2500 dollars for the rear and hood decals -- the hood decals being a 995 option. I do understand that there are models without leather or sunroof that MSRP for in the 50s but fully loaded 2018s were in the low 70s and fully loaded 2020s are in the mid 70s. That has not changed much in the past 2 years for the fully loaded models.

My 18 MSRP was $68,980 (802, beadlocks, spray liner, carbon, twin panel) It didn't have the Technology pkg, tailgate step or stickers.

How did you get the carbon package without the Tech package? I thought that was all in the same. There are a lot of options for these trucks and that is for sure.

Unfortunately, you’re probably dealing with a stealership that purchased the ’18 from an ethical dealer who was selling at or close to MSRP, and your stealership probably marked it up several thousand over MSRP. They likely actually paid somewhere between what dealers normally pay from Ford and MSRP somewhere. NO, they did not pay MSRP to another dealer, but they could have paid over invoice.

Came here to say this.

Wouldn't this truck immediately take a 2.5 year depreciation hit the minute you drive it off the lot? You go to sell it someday and its going to be priced like another 2018 regardless of the inservice date. Doesn't sound like the dealership wants to price it like that. You can act like this 2018 is new, but it's been probably sitting outside for two years so not really.

If you want to save some dough get a used low mileage 2018 for significantly less. You could easily find a sub 20K mile 2018 in the 50s and extend the warranty yourself.

My concern would be book value- if totaled or stolen the insurance company is only paying for an 18. retail will also hurt- but not much if you keep it 5 or so year. Call you insurance company ask what they would pay- or get gap insurance. if you finance.

I do like my 18 seats better. So i understand.

Not sure about that. I think the Tech package was a stand alone option you could get with any 802 configuration, however I'm not sure about that. I didn't care for the carbon package.

Hey guys, I appreciate all the input and I was pretty much thinking exactly what you were saying.

I decided to open my search up to other states and just put a deposit down on what i consider to be a steal.

2020 Raptor SCREW
Agate Black
802a
carbon package
moon roof
bed liner spray in
forged wheels
heated rears
no graphics
free roll up tonneau
Sticker: 74535
Price: 68487 (6048 off sticker)

I also opted in for the full ceramic coating which also includes lifetime leather replacement....anyone ever heard of this? It cost 1195.

Im picking her up on Saturday. Its still got the plastic on the seats and shifter with 14 miles on the odometer!
