How does the Goose tune do in tbe low/mid rpm range? Looking for a tune that adds more down low vs upper rpm/ WOT. Also, those that have the tune and the tcm tune for awile now, how are the mpgs? Anyone tried both the Cobb tune snd the Goose tune to compare? How about the ORA550 tune vs the Goose tune?
Low and mid is noticeably improved. Esp mid range!! Its scary fast in mid range.. 30-90 very quick! Tcm def smooths out the shifts and I feel shift points are much better as well. I have been running the goose stage 2 93oct for almost a year. Haven't noticed much change in mpg. Stay constant around 15-16. But def notice the power difference.

I will also add. While there is a noticable power Increase.... part of what makes it "scary fast" is how smooth it is.

You could be cruising along going 50 in a 55 zone. Being responsible and obeying all the posted speed signs and traffic laws, then some sunday driver pulls out in front of u. So u just punch 3/4 throttle to pass em real quick.. get a little pushed back into your seat, couple smooth shifts, and think wow that's nice.. then look down and that first number on the speedometer that was a 4 or 5 is now an 8 or 9..... this seems to happen to me daily! ;):D

Appreciate the comeensts and feedback everyone. How is the low speed/crawling? My current tune is really bad at low speed/idling along 2 examples to illustrate. At Chick Fil A drive thru today for the kids, longggg line. When the line would mkve forward, would take my foot off brake and truck would not move, almost like it was in hill descent or incline hold mode, try to feather gas to gentle move forward, nothing...push harder and truck lurches forward. 2nd example, picked up a garage fridge today from Bestbuy, they recommemded keeping it upright so stapped it down good and drove home super slow/dilegently...would try to take off super smooth from stop lights/corners and same thing, gently push gas, nothing, push harder, lurch forward. Is the goose tune smooth in low speed situations like that?

Anyone looking to sell a used Accessport at a resonable cost?

I have had no issues like this with my Cobb, it is as smooth as stock or better. Low speed crawling in mud and sand was flawless.

Yeah, I've never met him, or even purchased from him (yet?), but based on his replies to my inputs and his overall responsiveness on this forum has cemented him as one of the "good guys" in the tuning business. Plus he uses Cobb hardware and software!

This is more so a general AccessPort question I guess, but how long does it take to flash a different tune after the initial tune?

I assume it's as easy as turning the truck off, turning it on without starting it and choosing a tune on the AP? Mostly concerned with traveling and 93 Oct disappearing along the way.

Just in case anybody is on the fence and haven’t read a previous post of mine, I would highly recommend this tune. I have tried Cobb Stage 1 and 2, but feel this is the best possible tune for our truck. It has crazy power. My fuel economy is the same if driven the same. It is super smooth and great power low and mid range.

This tune is optimized for your truck. You just have to be able to have a place where you can do a pull requested that takes you to over 80mph. That is the only catch.

Good luck on your tune decisions all!
