GEN 2 Electric power washer?

It's strange that the picture of the black raptor covered in foam is actually a picture of the passenger side of the truck that has been flipped/mirrored.

yeah definitely do not do this. An electric power washer generates more than enough psi to clean your truck without the high risk of damaging it.

If you have the funds, go Kranzle but be prepared for sticker shock.

For electric, go Karcher but stick to the K1900 or K2000. K1700 would also work but doesn't have same heavy duty pump as the K1900/2000.

Watch the Obsessed Garage videos on YouTube. He tests all the Ryiobi, Greenworks, SunJoe, Karcher, etc. The problem with most is the dont come close to their rated specs plus SunJoe and AR use M22 15mm connectors vs standard M22 14mm which makes it a pain in the rear to fit new/longer hoses, spray guns, etc.

I use a Karcher cube (not a ton of room in the garage for a wheeled version) and it has been doing pretty well. I think Obsessed Garage rated it the highest for the budget versions if you arn't willing to buy a Kranzle.

I've been debating jumping into an electric pressure washer for the truck, as well as the deck, or garage, or other applications around the house.


How do the K1900/K2000 compare to the K5 Premium Full Control from Karcher? I was looking into those ones a bit.

Do people that use them get the foam cannon attachment, or just use the detergent from the unit?

What detergent, anything special for car washing, or just their universal detergent?

Do you use a water filter of some sort on your setup?

The K5/4/etc all use a proprietary fitting from what Obsessed Garage covered in his reviews on Youtube, that alone makes me say no way. By the time you buy all the fittings, if available, to convert to the normal M22 14mm, you might as well buy a Kranzle

I'd mainly just being using the different spray setting/pressures on the wand, and a foam cannon. Won't be doing a lot of fitting changes, but maybe I'll stay more towards the K1900/K2000. Was thinking K5 just for the adjustability on the fly from the wand, and a better reel configuration (read some negative things about the K2000 hose reel)

Check the Obsessed Garage review vids on Youtube, from what I saw, I dont think the K5 is worth the extra money.

For the proprietary fittings on the K5, SunJoe, etc. the main issue is that the stock hoses are too short, to do your whole truck you end up having to keep moving the pressure washer all over and the stock hoses dont have swivel fittings and are super stiff, that all makes it a little awkward. Your option to extend the hose is to buy if available another stock hose and the right fitting to connect. If you want to get a 50ft flexible hose like a Flexzilla or Cobra Jet hose, back to searching and laying for fittings. The swivel connects at the unit and the gun are much njver as are quick disconnects on the hose connections and gun/attachment connections, back to searching and paying for special dittings. First world problem but after you start using the pressure washer to wash your vehicles, you will see. I doubted too, then after 4 or 5 washes I got it.
