if you are ambitious enough to swap them out it is a good option. they run about $200 or so and it is really the best of both worlds - help when you have the extra weight - 100% raptor mode when you have no need for them. its one bolt per side and you can slide right in and out.

I think you are all, especially if you live in the east, missing the real question here. Where the hell exactly are these hundreds of miles of logging roads? I’m dying to drive on them. Are they open to anyone? Ty

This thing is sexy and fast but it is barely a truck. Some minivans have better payloads.

I don't mean to rub salt in the wound but the Raptor was not designed for payload use. Might want to trade it in for a F250 or F350.

I thought about this and opted for a trailer when I need to haul anything big or heavy. Then you have to decide if you need a trail capable trailer.

Also a very good move as putting anything in the Raptor bed may cause it to shift while in motion and potentially cause a scratch. Good move.

@Pokahpolice I have a camp in far northern MN very near the Canadian border.
Same deal man TONS of old gravel logging roads.
It's 30 miles of gravel off the highway to my camp and intersecting roads everywhere
It's an absolute blast bombing down those roads in the Raptor. Amazes me how it eats up all the pots holes and poorly grated or not grated roads.
Ignore the condescending haters man, there are plenty of good dudes on this site that offer solid advice.

I've been up on the Golden Road and all around Moosehead a few times. Can't wait to get a Raptor to explore those side roads where I didn't want to take the F350.

haha ok I’ll bite; which one did you mean? Maybe you should have googles your own word. Oh yeah and just get the HD deaver’s already; what you need is specifically what they were designed for, increasing your payload.
