Hello! New here...

I have a 2014...Everything is in perfect condition. I bought it used with only 30K miles.

Everything was working perfectly yesterday regarding the sync system/sound system and has been working perfectly for the last few months.

When I went out this morning to go for a drive, my music would not play. Only some songs would work. when I selected a song and I would hit play either on the screen or on my phone it would just bounce back to pause. Sometimes it would take a minute to "think" then go back to pause. My phone calls will work. There is no problems connecting the phone...only playing certain songs...I believe its when I go into a playlist that it causes problems.

Mechanical issues are easy to solve...even when its electrical compared to this!

Action taken:

Remove battery...wait a few minutes put battery back on

disconnect phone/delete sync from my recent connections (from phone)

disconnect phone/delete sync from my recent connections (from Sync)

did a reset by going through the settings menu.

I have waited for sync to "index" and "build commands" and still nothing.

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated!

ive looked into it a little more...I am 99% sure that there is an issue with the phone...when I hook up to my Bluetooth headphones there is the same issue...same if I try to play music over the speakers of the phone...chalking this up to a phone issue...Thank you!!

Had the same exact issues with the sync unit as described. Multicolor, back/front going blank or black and blue, or one or the other going out then suddenly being ok again, then not again. Took to dealer and there is a TSB for a software update fix. It was not the hardware and fix the issue immediately and no more issues. Just FYI.
