Add USB C plug/module

I could swear saw somewhere that I cant find now, about changing the USB module to have one of the ports be a USB-C plug. Anyone know if this is possible and what the part number is?

Thx, that looks like an aftermarket module and the oe numbers they list dont lead to the same ford part from the pictures? What I see through google shows either one usb plug or two usb olugs but not 1 usb + 1 usb c

The above module works just fine. Don't overthink it

I have it installed and it did the trick from a convenience perspective. Now I don't have a full on charger plugged into the standard outlet on the dash. A couple things that could be better: 1. Wish there was a module out there with two type-c plugs instead of one. 2. Even though my pixel 3 XL says it's charging rapidly when plugged into the type-c outlet, it definitely isn't. It charges at the standard rate, not a huge deal but wish it did rapid charge.

How hard is the install? And what is the advantage if it doesn’t rapid charge? I always have my phone plugged in so don’t need rapid anyway.

I rarely use the 12V socket for anything other than USB chargers anymore, so I figured this was better.

I like that. Ez install? Did u have to remove cover to close OEM cover? I never have OEM cover closed anyway. Mine actually stopped working recently. Annoying.

I like that but wonder if you can keep the OEM cover installed and would it still close.

Picture shows it comes with its own cover
