Hi All,

I’m interested in putting an overland rack on my 2018 raptor for summer camping and fall hunting trips. I have a Retrax MX that I am not interested in removing. I’m looking for something that is easy to take on and off (if possible). What are my options? My retrax does not have the XR rails. Thanks!

Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but without those XR rails, i think you are stuck to the KB Voodoo rack. It has brackets that slide UNDER the rails. Check out "The Whalen" on Youtube, he has that setup on his rig.

I have KB and it doesn’t work with my BakFlip even though they said it would before I bought the rack.c7824e60225a0a44a0386580da9254e1.jpg

I’ve been looking non stopped for the past week to this question and can’t find a good solution. All the racks I’ve looked at have a vertical bracket that mounts inside the bed. How are so many people not running bed covers?? When I go camping, I need all the dry storage space I can get.

The only one I’ve found so far is for what you have.

I just want one for my BakFlip!

In my case, I will probably end up modifying the ADD rack to mount to the flats on my bed rails. https://www.addictivedesertdesigns.com/ford-raptor-f150-overland-bed-rack-C118822000103

Eager to hear how others have handled this

Aesthetically speaking I like the ADD rack the best, the cutback angle at the end the bed just looks right to me. I have the OEM ford hard trifold bed cover unfortunately. The idea of selling my existing bed cover and buying a bed rack compatible one is a bummer.

Agreed. especially one that is hard to remove and super expensive.

Also, I don’t think the ADD rack works with any tonneau. Think I’m gonna design my own setup.

Thanks for all of the responses.

I guess the different designs of all of the bedcovers make it problematic for manufacturers to design a rack that will work with most of them. The KB Voodoo looks ok (definitely agree with the ADD being the best). I could always run some XR rails...has anyone had any problems with them off-road? It sounds like they are pretty easy to overgross w/ just a basic setup.
