Ski4Ever - Here is the link to SS lines, I got the 4 inch lift set due to my upgraded suspension. BTW - They do work and I have zero static interference.

Thanks! Other than having a bit extra length, is there any reason NOT to get brake lines a little longer than I currently need? My Truck is stock now, but at some point I plan to get Deaver +3s (which are 1" taller than stock) ...can I buy 1" or 2" lift lines now, and make sure they're tied back in such a way that they don't contact anything until the extra length is actually needed?

Out of curiosity, what suspension do you have that's giving you 4" of lift (or is that accounting for extra droop also)?

I went with the Powerstop Z36 kit. At the time they did not have a kit with calipers so I just bought the rotors and pads.
Where is their kit that includes calipers? I can't find it...or am I missing something?

The amazon link has two options, one has calipers. You can also find then on the PowerStop site.

I have +3s and Geiser springs. When you first install them you will add way more than an inch. With 37s I'm at 21 inches to the bottom of my hitch with the +3s being settled now for two years and I carry 250 plus pounds in the bed on a normal day.

I live in the southwest and in the summer months it gets hot. When I want to make a high speed run or when I want to pull my Airstream over the rockies hallin balls those brakes/pads along with the SS lines help.

I also flushed the system and added dot 4 fluid, it doesn't mind getting hot like the dot 3 does, it is a little pricey.

You guys like the Powerstops then? I had them on a couple of my vehicles before and they always squealed and didn't stop well in the morning. I was looking at Stoptech Streets. Haven't seen any reviews for our trucks though

SRF is by far the best, but like you said, you pay for it.

Also, I thought I read in the manual that the Raptor comes with DOT 4 already. I mean, I remember being a bit shocked when I read it, cuz I wouldn't expect a factory vehicle leave with DOT 4, being it needs to be changed much more frequently.

What are you willing to sacrifice in the name of better braking from just a pad upgrade? Can you handle dust, squeeling, rotor/pad life? How aggressive do you want the initial bite to be?

Good point. I really just want more power overall, brake pedal feels too heavy and borderline unsafe to me at times.

Carbotech has more aggressive options but the closer to racecar pad material you go the more dust and squealing you get. You also sacrifice service life of the components. I personally run carbotech xp-20's in the front and xp-12's in the rear and get about 50,000km between pad and rotor changes. They dust like a bastard and scream like a banshee, but i got what i wanted. The truck stops violently right meow, and i have enough initial bite to lock up a 37" tire even at highway speeds.

correct & if you start looking that route also check out DBA rotors (disc brakes Australia- VERY nice) & something like Hawk HP+ pads- you’ll def feel more bite but will get more dust

To be honest i ran the dba rotors and am not sure if they were worth the money vs stock. I just went with stock rotors this time so time will tell if i was right or not.
