Deaver +3 with drop shackle

Hi all, I’m looking to finally pull the trigger on a set of deavers, I want to keep the stock ride height so I can do +2, or +3 with a drop shackle, I assume you get more droop with the new shackle, anyone running this setup, I would like to hear pros of one over the other also did you need to install limit straps with the +3 and shackle so you don’t max out your rear shocks with the extra droop?

I have +3 deavers with +2 rpg shackles and SVC bumpstops. I was running rpg 1.5” collars up front and with that setup I had a 1” rake in the front. I just went fox 3.0’s and for some reason they raised the rear a 1/2” but now I have the ability to put the front at whatever height I want so I’m at a 1/2” rake at the moment. I don’t think I’ve been in a full droop situation yet but I like the fact that if I want 1” in the rear I can just put the stock shackles in. That’s why I went this route. This is on a 2018

What will deavers noticably do for spirited on-road driving? I swapped to Eibach springs up front a week ago and it literally made everything about the truck better. Would love to start targeting another big time improvement mod this summer.

Basically I’m asking if there’s any difference besides more droop on doing deaver +3 with lowering shackle vs deaver +2, and those that went with +3 did you also have to install limit straps

Limit straps aren’t needed. I have Deaver +3 with rpg drop shackles.

The amount of droop travel is going to be the same as stock if not less..it is depicted by the length of the shock.. the shock is connected to the frame and will extend the same as it did before.. you may get more bump travel out of that setup.. the +3 is a stiffer pack to compensate for bed racks and gear..if your gonna run minimal gear and want a stock height just get the +2 pack, I have them and it significantly helps plant the rear end to the ground..the only thing left to do is put a urethane bushing in the stock shackle to promote better movement..the stock rubber one kinda sucks in my eye

Got long winded on my post. My main reason for +3 and shackles was to have options. It was my first suspension mod and I hadn’t decided what my plans were. I just wanted the rear end to calm down. Deavers are one of my top mods.

Yeah I did the eibach coils first then the deavers..the leaf pack helps a lot..I wish the shocks were more tunable. last night got the king oem replacements. Gonna put them on asap then save up for the rear ones

The fox shocks rebounded way to fast for my liking.. tried to slow it down but foxes design of the bleed holes leaves no option
