I picked up my Oxford White 2020 last weekend, its getting its bedlinder sprayed in tomorrow and I am hoping to get a ceramic coating on it this weekend. I am looking for some input and advice as to whether or not I am on the right track. Here is my plan:

1. Wash with Dawn dish soap to strip whatever is currently on the paint.
2. Use Adams Iron Remover and rinse off.
3. Use Adams Fine Grade Clay Bar and Detail spray
4. Rinse again to remove residue
5. Spray and wipe off with Adams Surface Prep
6. Apply Adams Ceramic Spray to entire exterior and use CS3 every couple of washes for maintenance.

I know it is ok to put the Ceramic Spray on the bedliner, but will it make it slick, and should I wait more than a few days to let the bed liner cure?

Oh, forgot to say, congrats on the truck. White is my favorite color for the Raptor.

Thanks MDJAK, white is also my favorite color for the Raptor, I didn't think I would like it until I saw it in person. I got a few pictures of it next to the lightning blue Raptor I traded in for this one. I didn't get any good pictures of the truck when I was done detailing it, and it spends most of its time dirty traveling for work.

I used Dawn because I already had it available and read that it works well. Next time I will get some strip wash to see how it compares. I really liked using the Adams products, the Spray Ceramic Coating was incredibly easy to put on, and so far is holding up great. I used the CS3 to clean up a spot of grease on the passenger side door, and while I had it out I used to to clean the inside of my garage doors. Does anyone know if the Spray Ceramic Coating can be used on gel coat?

I have not found that the Ceramic Spray Coating makes the bedliner slick. I would recommend waiting a few weeks after the bedliner is applied before coating it.

Dawn has been the standard for stripping down to bare paint forever, works great, most people have it on the shelf, no need to buy and store a specialty product for this.

The big reason to wash with Strip Wash instead of Dawn is "POLYMERS". That's the good stuff in Car Shampoo and Strip Wash that make washing safer for your paint. The polymers are what encapsulate the dirt, which allows the dirt to be wiped from the paint with much less chance of scratching.

Dawn does not have these polymers to encapsulate the dirt. A dish soap's primary function is to cut grease.

Adams all the way!! I just got the CS3 to try and after the first use I bought 2 more of the 12oz to put in my cars and a gallon refill. I have been using their stuff for about 6 years, first the detail spray was the star then H2O G&G now CS3. I gave way very expensive products from other companies because of how well Adams products work!

Great color! My Gen1 was white and I miss it. My Gen2 is Performance blue but it was a coin flip over white.
