does my spring leaf look to S shaped?

Stock springs - 2017 with 22,000 miles

No jumping and any offroading was mostly fire roads or long stretches of soft sand

They look reverse arched to me. Mine did the same after about 5000 and a few spirited runs on the control roads. Get deavers and be done with it. It was probably the best mod I have done.

It’s a total joke that Ford calls these springs at all. They are by far the weakest link in the suspension. They are woefully over sprung and too thin. I agree with the poster above, get deavers. Ford might replace those under warranty but they will replace them with the same shit.

Looks to me like you overloaded the bed or exceeded your tow weight at the hitch.

nope never

I've towed a buggy that weighs 1600 lbs and the axles on the trailer are forward (away from vehicle) and therefore puts less tongue weight.
the max tongue load is 500 lbs

even if my trailer was pushing the hitch down, I'd still be within the load

From your thread title I was expecting something more like this! It sure looks like the leaf pack has a bit of a flat spot to me, from that picture. Did you ever measure the tongue weight?

no but from the picture, its obvious that the weight of the trailer/buggy isn't pushing down very much

if anything, I should look to making it completely flat

how do you suggest I weigh ?

My 2019 looked like that when brand new springs were installed after the 1 st set took a crap at 2100 miles brand new set looked like that so don’t waste money doing Deavers etc. find a local spring shop ask them to add 1 leaf of steel and done. Made mine a little stiffer and raised it about 2 inches. And total cost with all new hardware was less that 425 bucks. Deavers for towing was oem take offs with a spring added and was like a grand plus shipping then install.

I installed the Deavers and would agree it was the best thing I've done so far. Downside to the extra cost of Deavers is you'll also need to change the bumpstops. Current bumpstops and springs are a joke. I promise this upgrade will be one of your best.
