The Houston heat is around the corner. What are the best sun shades for putting up inside the windshield? I haven't seen a good large one in a while. Thanks

I had 2 cheap amazon sun shades, neither of which lasted a season. I finally got a roll up one for a super duty that’s about 40 bucks if I recall correctly. It works, and has lasted more than one season. still got it on amazon, but just spent more money for it. it’s a silver, reflective surface and does not fold flat, but it does reflect out a bunch of heat.

I got the spendy f150 sun shade. It IS exceptional quality and comes in a carrying sack. Yeah, $90 nothing to sneeze at but its a good one.

Here’s another that supposedly has a Raptor Logo:

Bought the WeatherTech set for $140, only intend to use the windshield 95% of the time. The side windows and back fit perfectly, almost no light gets in.

The windshield is almost perfect, somewhat off at top because of dashcam, but even without it wouldn't be 100% covered without putting towel atop rear view mirror. (This only applies if you need NO light, coming into truck, as far as keeping your truck cool, will do great).

I got the same. It does a great job of keeping out the heat, but is horrible to store and manage, compared to the typical folding shades. I find that I use the windshield and front sides most of the time. The rear sides and rear window shades I use when I know I'm not going to use the truck for a couple days. I carpool with a buddy to work, week on week off, so it does happen fairly regularly.

I do need to look into getting some tint to help with heat, and I may look for a folding shade as well.

Funny, I was just shopping for a sunscreen yesterday and I thought the way the Weathertech rolled up looked like it may be a pain in the ass.

I don't regret the purchase. Since I can't put the truck in the garage, it's great for when I need it to go in an auto cocoon. And it is not an easy task to get all 6 pieces in the bag the provide. It does have a velcro strap that's much easier.
