Took possession of my '17 Scab April 2018. Only issue has been frozen door locks, which were replaced under recall. Added Icon bumpstops for trip to Moab. 43k miles, KO2s replaced at 38k. 30% off-road. LOVE my '17.

I had a '17 and sold it with 86k miles on it in October to buy a '20. The only issue it had was with the sunroof that they fixed under warranty. The only thing I highly prefer on the later models is the Ford Pass app. I use the app all the time to start the truck remotely when out of range like in the airport. I also unlock it all the time when I'm outside and need to grab something but don't feel like getting the key.

I bought a 2017 Avalanche SCAB in September from a member here. I was looking at Autotrader and whatnot and had serious trust issues as well as having an issue finding a SCAB with the 802a package. I stumbled on a thread with the guy saying he wanted to trade his in on a SCREW but was getting crud trade in offers and generally being dicked around. We worked together and eventually he found a good truck that he wanted at a dealer willing to do a sign and trade with me. We both won. And he drove 200 miles and I drove about 12 since that dealer ended up to be in my back yard. Too cool. Great truck. Neither of us had any major problems. I’ve had the rain sensor replaced and the freezing door lock service bulletin addressed. It’s got about 24k on it. Some are just fine and some are not. It’s scary spending 50k on a used vehicle but even scarier to me to spend near 70 on a new one that could have just as many problems. Get one from someone who has owned it a while and gave it the shakedown. Helps you sleep at night.

I have a 2017 with 36k on the clock, and other than taking it in to get the common rough shifting issue corrected (shifts smoothly now) and the KO2's getting near the end of their life (though i've done plenty of offroading), the truck has been flawless, love it.

I have a 2017 with 49k miles. I did have an issue with the plastic oil plan leaking, but it was fixed after multiple attempts and has been leak free for the last 40k miles. I also had the valve covers replaced. My KO2's have 49k miles now and will need replacement in about another 5k. I still love my truck!
