Once you do one mod, the next one becomes easier, and easier, and easier. Then you see pics here and well, I have to have that mod because it's only $$. It's endless!

Yeah... but i think I just might be able to restrain myself from spending 3 grand on a light.

You say that now.

Lights are only as important as your need to see while you’re driving. Or... if you’re going for ‘cool points’ you could enable ‘dark mode’ by for scan and pick up some IR lighting for use with night vision.

If you hold off a couple of months like I have (natural for me because I am one serious cheapskate), the urge to buy things for it goes away. I do need a hard tonneau cover because I sometimes roll around with a laptop or photo gear and there's no real place to "hide" it if I want to stop for groceries (or anything) on my way home. But that's a "need" more than a "want". Plus I have to consider taking all this crap off when I go to trade or sell it.

No one really "needs" $1300 pro driving lights, chase racks, frame cut bumpers, lift kits, 37" tires or whatnot unless they're taking it off road - which is probably less than 20% of Raptor buyers. That aside, I totally get the mod bug.

This...

If you struggle with waiting, then the next best thing to do is just spread out the mods over time. Pace yourself. If you get it all at once you are still going to want more a couple weeks later, so save some for later.

The other thing is, try and get mods you're going to appreciate and feel the difference over stock. As above, if you don't offroad, then don't get stuff you can only really use offroad. Even if you do, get used to the OEM parts first for a few months or years so once you upgrade, you have a better application for the difference between stock and upgrade. Of course, if you've been driving trucks for years and can already appreciate the difference between stock and upgraded suspension, for example, waiting doesn't really help you much.

hated those holes and where I live they just collect mud and debris. One hint, clean location thoroughly then with alcohol then let dry. I put glue (Pliobond) on contact surfaces of the caps. Super cheap and 10 minute addition for a cleaner look and to stop all the muck from collecting in the frame holes.

Something I haven’t thought about or know existed! Thanks for posting. I searched and found these for the Raptor as well.
