My Bro in Law was able to negotiate a lengthy extended warranty out of the deal, bumper to bumper. Similar situation but he complained enough he got kicked up the chain of command and gave in.

I wouldn’t have a problem with a new long block PROVIDING Ford provides you with a complimentary 100k mile bumper to bumper warranty.
That's what I'm thinking. Should I call ford customer care after the repair or should I call now. I know they defintelt gave bumper to bumper warranty to a lot of raptor owners. Do you know what specifically he had to do to get it given to him for free?

I agree. Like the guy said above, defintelt want the complimentary bumper to bumper. I will call ford customer care after the engine replacement and will complain to them about it. Defintelt want some sort or rewards especially 5 visits, many phone calls to customer care and email and the issue is yet to be resolved ( hopefully soon)

I wouldn't have a problem with a new engine. I would just make sure whoever is doing the work is comfortable with doing it. I would probably use that as my argument with ford for some type of extended warranty. I'm more worried about the guys doing the work than the engine itself. I would not want a rebuild.
Good for ford for replacing it. This is similar (although not as severe) as the 991.1 engine issues. There are some .1's out there that have had several engine replacements. Porsche ended up extending the engine warranty to 10 yr/100k miles, and they still cover track use.
No worries, have them drop in a new engine and drive it. If it ends up being a recurring issue and the truck spends most of its time in the shop, then lemon it if you can.

sorry for your problems- But you are really stuck with what Ford offers to do. Try not to let it get the best of you. Sadly no one at Ford corporate really cares- but it sounds like you got a good dealer to help you through the bull.
My advice is to be nice but firm- and do not threaten law suit- till you are ready to go. May times once you play that card the help stops.

Ugh, sorry to hear. I went through this with the Porsche GT3 engine replacements and it was a nightmare. I agree with others, if you can't get a buy back, demand an extended warranty. Porsche did it for their GT3's as a point of reference.

I agree. As long as the engine fixes my issues for oil Consumption I am fine with it. Defintely want someone competent to do the engine work for me. Should I call ford customer care after the new engine has been placed or should I call now?
