traded an 18' for a 20'. My 18' was 802a super cab with no sunroof and no tech package, the 20 is an 802a super crew. The live wire shocks make a huge difference in ride quality, much more controlled especially when making a turn. I did not notice any difference in screen resolution. Adaptive cruise is excellent, lane keep assist is hit or miss.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. You guys are doing a great job of pushing me to spend the extra few on a '19/20

One more item I forgot to mention. 2019s and 2020s sit higher up front. This maybe important to you.

For example, if you run a zero offset wheel with oem size tires (315/70/17) you should not rub.

Is it a safe assumption that a 35x12.5 17” tire would not run either?

It is going to depend on the tire but technically a 35x12.5x17 is narrower than a 315/70/17 tire. It is however a true 35" tire so it is taller when compared to a 315/70/17.

Because 19s and 20s are higher up front, i think there is more/better clearance for a 35x12.5x17 tire.

I hope that answers your questions.

That does. Thank you sir.

Trying to wrap my head around back spacing and offset and how much that can change on a stock truck.

Rule of thumb with Raptors is not too exceed 0 offset for several reasons

- 0 offset when compared to stock 34 offset is about 1.3 inches pushed out on 8.5 wide wheel. If you have a 9 inch wide aftermarket wheel then add another .25 inches. So there is poke beyond the fenders. So if you are jumping your raptor, you may rip your fenders at full compression. BUT IMO poke looks good on a raptor

- The more you push your wheels out the more strain you will put on your wheel bearings. So running a wheel with -12 offset is not a good idea.

- when your wheels are poking out from the fenders you are throwing debris from the road onto your truck. Some guys have a problem with this.

I ran 0 offset on my 2013 for 5 years. Love the look but I was constantly washing my driver and pass doors. :(

That does. Thank you sir.

I had an 18 and have a 19 now and I didn't notice any difference in the screen resolution.

Agreed. I've had both 2018 and 2019 F-150s with Sync 3, and I've seen plenty of other Ford vehicles with Sync 3. Never noticed any difference in resolution, nor was there a published change from Ford.

When...................Might Sync 3.4 be released for the ‘19s or earlier models that can update to it? Any word on the street?

‘20s come with v3.4

You can upgrade older versions to 3.4 via a hack. But I’m still interested in knowing if and when Ford may officially release 3.4 to previous years vehicles. I think they should keep up in doing this in a timely fashion. As it shows commitment to there customers and how good there tech is, in being able to install the upgrade by an end user.
