Tow haul doesn't change to 2 hi. On a 17 button is on gearshift so it's easy to use

Do only the torsen-diff trucks torque steer, or is it the higher low-end torque and sharper curve due to turbocharging?

My Raptor is the only Gen2 I've ever driven, definitely torque steers in 4A with a lot of throttle in wet. Has Torsen.

I don't remember my 1999-2004 GM fullsizes didn't torque steering in 4Auto, and my 2011 Raptor didn't seem to do it in 4H (open front diff).

I prefer some wheel spin so it's in 2H unless the roads are nasty (predominately winter time) and then 4A is turned on.

I'd still like to someday own an M1A variant but I'll probably get a KREB's first.

I use 4a when roads are wet. I will say that it did catch my attention when turning right at an intersection, I was probably rolling 5 or 10 mph and got on the gas a little aggressively, dang old steering wheel almost yanked out of my hand as the truck wanted to continue straight into the people that were lined up to turn left. I wasn't ready for it and had to make a steering correction. I am sure everyone's eyes were as big as silver dollars. lol
Probably not an issue for you guys that use 4a all the time.

happens to us all at least a couple times. if you have to make a sharp turn and need to get on it pretty hard, be ready. Especially if it’s wet.

Raptor is the only 1/2 ton made to ever really come close to replicating close to true AWD + 4WD & 2WD - the transfer case utilized in our trucks is Raptor specific & some trickery w/ wet clutches allow the system to step in & send power to the fronts much much quicker & in real time vs. the traditional “4 auto” you have in regular F150s or other 1/2 tons like my Last ‘15 GMC (I believed they used magnetic locking hubs)- at any rate there was a significant delay to when slippage occurred & power went to the fronts on my GM/Toyota trucks. Also believe there’s much less concern w/ binding or additional wear running this kind of 4A system in dry conditions vs the 4A in other 1/2 tons.

I also run 4A in most wet conditions or very cold ambient temp regardless of precipitation. Giving full power in 2wd in these trucks even in stock form your spinning in motion more than you realize - simultaneously hurting acceleration & tire wear. So a big reason I run in 4A is to prevent uneven tire wear when I’m getting on it in dry conditions + actually be able to use all the power.

combo of fat soft wide tires + soft as puppy poo suspension + boatload of TQ very low = recipe for spinning w/o even noticing

2h 98% of the time. when its not snowing

I will only switch to 4a in the rain if i get too much wheel spin. i prefer to modulate with the gas pedal.

but...and agressive driving, and it goes to sport + 4h

The KO2s suck as far as dry street traction. Get better tires and you won't have an issue.

Any true AT tire is gonna be compromised on the street. "Better" tires - like what, the Toyo R888Rs I just picked up for my vette? Think I should have em heat cycled for the Raptor too LoL!!!

Imagine how funny that would look though for a second....on 24"s bahahhahaha
