2018 Raptor purchase advice

Hello community, i'm looking to get into a Raptor probably by this weekend. I am brand new to Raptors And I think I might pick this one up. It's not local to me so I can't test drive it. Carfax shows vehicle service /transmission was checked.
Not sure if that is a concern or not. Any feedback will help.

there was a tsb on 2017 and early 2018's to check the shift linkage, i assume that's what that was for.

Or reprogram the TCM; had the TSB done to my 2018.

Looks like an earlier 2018 model. Probably has plastic oil pan, which might not matter to you.

You gotta test drive and look them over before you buy. I was gunho for a 2017 with 17k in miles went to check it out and body had little scratches everywhere, bumper had a dent, on the test drive the check engine light came on and the rear axle had a nice light coat if surface rust already. Checked out a 2018 with 40k in miles the truck was like it was new. My conclusion some Raptors are rode hard and put away wet some are driveway trophies you want the later of the two. That's my 2 cents.

I bought new so didn’t have to worry about some of the stuff but one thing to consider is towing or hauling large amounts in the bed. The payload and towing capacity is considerably less on these trucks than anything else in the class. If you pull anything of size it’s something to think about.

Agree with all of the above. Definitely must lay eyes on it and drive it. Before I bought new, I found one that looked pristine on the website and had every bell and whistle. First owner was a chain smoker. The smell had permeated every fiber in that thing. Just never know.

true but a set of leaf springs can fix that- and they can tow/haul a lot more than a gen 1.....

difference is when you’re exceeding capacity on a standard 1/2 ton you’re not simultaneously destroying $$$$ shocks & the comfy ride that goes w/ em
