For those without any PPF on the front bumper or grille

How are these plastic painted parts of wearing. Do they chip and ding like regular paint

My grill is fine but my bumper has taken some hits after 16k miles. The bumper is black underneath so it isn’t noticeable unless you are looking.

thanks - my incoming is magnetic so it probably would not show

I haven't had any chipping on the front of my truck and it's been through almost 3 winters. I only have a few small chips on the sides which is pretty good considering my tires stick out 1.5"-2". Currently @ 42K miles.

But it’s also steel- so it will rust

id there is a grey coating over a black surface chances are it wont rust, the black surface is probably a primer coat.
