There warranty doesn’t seem to cover anything more than there products. Does NOT cover anything OEM like the motor if it grenades. Bottom line not tune it if your worried about warranty work.

Their BASE warranty is what you posted. The optional powertrain warranty is on page 26 of the document you posted from.

In relevant part:

WARRANTY COVERAGE

When a ROUSH Flash Pack/Power Pack Kit(s) purchased from an Authorized ROUSH Dealer is correctly and completely installed by a certified Ford automotive technician or automotive service technician certified by the Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) on an eligible, legally registered and licensed vehicle with an operational odometer, ROUSH will cover defects in materials and workmanship during the Warranty Period, as solely determined by us.

Below are those vehicle components covered and not covered under this warranty:

  • ENGINE COMPONENTS
COVERED: Pistons, piston rings, piston pins, crankshaft and bearings, connecting rods and bearings, camshafts and bearings, timing chain and gears, intake/exhaust valves and seals, valve springs, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms, rocker arm shafts, lifters, and turbochargers (if applicable). If a failure of any of these parts damages either the engine block or cylinder heads, a remanufactured long block assembly will be provided up to the maximum coverage of $7,500.00.
NON-COVERED: Those engine components specifically not listed including, but not limited to, parts, filters, etc., that are required to be replaced as a part of the vehicle’s normal maintenance schedule are not covered under this warranty.

  • TRANSMISSION COMPONENTS
COVERED: Torque converter, oil pump, governor, bands, drums, planetaries, shaft(s), sprag(s), bearings, shift rail(s), fork(s), and synchronizers.
NON-COVERED: All-wheel drive vehicles are excluded from transmission coverages under this Warranty. Failure of related parts external to the transmission that cause a transmission claim, including but not limited to, transmission coolers, levers, controls, etc., void coverage under this warranty.

  • REAR AXLE COMPONENTS
COVERED: Rear axle, ring gear, drive pinion, pinion shaft, side gears, bearings, bearing cap, washers, slinger, axle shaft (F-150 models only), housing and housing cover.
NON-COVERED: Axle shafts (Mustang models only).

  • TRANSFER CASE COMPONENTS
COVERED: All internally lubricated parts of the transfer case are covered under this warranty. NON-COVERED: The transfer case housing is not covered under this warranty.

Rev.7/30/2019 26

When you present us with a valid, properly documented warranty claim during the Warranty Period, ROUSH will replace the defective component(s) covered by this warranty or, at our option and sole discretion, refund the purchase price you paid for the particular ROUSH Flash Pack/Power Pack Kit(s) purchased. We reserve the right to improve or modify the ROUSH Flash Pack/Power Pack Kit(s) without assuming any obligation to update or replace any previously manufactured or sold ROUSH Flash Pack/Power Pack Kit(s).

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY PER COVERED VEHICLE UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO $11,500.00 (AGGREGATE). EACH COVERED COMPONENT HAS ITS OWN AGGREGATE VALUE WHICH WHEN COMBINED EQUALS THE TOTAL LIABILITY PER VEHICLE. THE ENGINE IS COVERED FOR $7,500.00, $2,000.00 PER TRANSMISSION, $1,000.00 PER TRANSFER CASE, AND $1,000.00 PER REAR AXLE. THESE AMOUNTS CANNOT BE COMBINED TOGETHER TO AID IN THE REPAIR OF ANOTHER COVERED COMPONENT. IN THE RARE CASE WHEN THE REPAIR COST EXCEEDS THE ACTUAL CASH VALUE OF THE VEHICLE, WE WILL REFUND THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE ROUSH FLASH PACK/POWER PACK KIT(S) ONCE THE COMPLETE KIT IS RETURNED PREPAID TO US.

A replacement ROUSH Flash Pack/Power Pack Kit(s) or component(s) that has been installed in accordance with our instructions, assumes the remaining warranty of the original replaced. If a ROUSH Flash Pack/Power Pack Kit(s) or any of its component(s) is exchanged, the replacement becomes your property and the returned Flash Pack/Power Pack Kit(s) or component(s) becomes our property.

I think you need to purchase this separately? From the installer?

I’m not clear on the supplemental warranty purchase or procedure, and haven’t pursued the Roush tune other than to follow the thread here. I just remembered someone previously posting the covered stuff -either this thread or the other one still running.

If I do get interested enough in it, I’ll give them a call.

It proves you need to really get in front of a complete contract or warranty for yourself and really read it.

Now two major points of this warranty specifies the Performance pack needs to be installed by a certified Ford tech or a certified ASE tech. Not necessarily a Ford\Roush dealer. I would call to confirm however.

And the 3/36 warranty

• 3 years or 36,000 miles from the vehicle’s original in-service date as determined by Ford dealer OASIS (On-Line Service Information System) report.

But I would imagine it’s from the time of your install. Again I think a call would be in order to put more clarity to this warranty.

I purchased my 2017 Raptor used with 20k miles on it a couple months ago. I knew it had an aftermarket intake when I purchased it, but I was going over the truck again and just realized the intake is specifically a Roush Performance Pac Level 1 intake. Then went digging into the glove box and found a flash card voucher for the Roush stage 1 tune. Anybody know if there's a way for me to identify if the previous owner actually had the tune loaded while I'm looking at my truck in the driveway? I'm guessing I'll have to have a Roush authorized installer look at it with their software or something.

Another important fact would be, did the previous owner get the 3/36 warranty? And if so, is it transferable? That would be a nice bonus.

Look into Forscan. It may be able to clue you in. I’m sure somebody on the forum would know however.

Anyway congrats and enjoy the truck!

I just had Metro ford OKC where I got my Roush, do the tune, $496 out the door, warranty blah blah.

I have an S&B CAI and the Roush axle back exhaust. Roush assured me the only thing in any of the kits that really makes any power is the tune.

Its 400$ from Roush directly, a stealership can charge what they want. My nearest Roish dealer in DFW was going to charge me $40 over Roush cost plus labor, total something like 650$. Told them to suck it.

Can I backtrack here? So you have a Roush Raptor? And Roush sold you just the tune? Or you purchased it from your dealer and with installation(flashing)for $496.00 total?

That makes sense with the CAI and Exhaust, as I never heard of any big power claims with these.

Yes, have a Roush, and it did not have the tune, so called roush. They said 400 but have to have a dealer install it, and if I go to a dealer, itd prolly be less expensive, it was.
