Just question to people who have traded in their 18's recently. Wondering what you guys ended up getting for trade on it. I have an 18 with 19k on it, 802A, Carbon Fiber package, hard cover, the carpet bedliner... not a mark in it on inside or out and just was offered 51k for trade on a 2020. I get they have to make money but just seems really low to me. TIA

I haven't traded but I recently bought an '18 with 20k (Ford certified pre-owned), 802A, bed cover, spray in liner for $54,400. '18s in the 15k-20k mileage range seem to be selling in the $55k-$56k range in general so $51k for trade doesn't sound too far off

Sounds good, I wasnt sure what they were really going for, I picked it up about 14 months ago at 65k because it was the demo or whatever you wanna call it and the GM of dealership was driving it around. So thought a lot of the sticker shock had fallen off but I guess I was wrong. Thanks

$51k is actually generous.

Say you bought it new at MSRP of $65k. The moment you drove it off the lot it became worth $55k. Ad a year and a years worth of miles, $45-50k would be what i would expect on trade in for a 2 model year old truck.

They will turn around and sell it for $57k, giving them a sweet spot of a discount $10-15K under a new 2020 for someone who just cant swing new truck money.

Sold mine in Jan for $60.5K with 6,800 miles. I originally paid $64K when I purchased it in 2019. It was an 802, Pano, spray liner, rear heated seats and bead locks.

Currently looking at 19's & 20's trying to find a deal. 19's are just too high still.

Autotrader has a lot of 18's still in the $60k range. Seems crazy, just buy new at that point.

I would think reality will eventually set in for those as they sit...and sit at those asking prices.

The person that pays $60k for an '18 is the same person that pays full boat MSRP for a new one. They are out there though.

I always think it's funny when people compare what they paid at the dealer new vs. trade in value. The fair comparison would be new price vs. full used retail. I realize the tax trade in value comes into play, but the truck is worth what it's worth, we should also consider new retail vs. used retail.
