Look... The anodizing or coatings of intercoolers and radiators do not create measurable differences in effectiveness. Yes black absorbs more heat and yes there are coatings that aid in heat transfer across the intercooler and they're called thermal dispersants.

Arguing over the color of the intercooler is no more different than arguing over the difference in acceleration over a low-profile antenna or the OEM whip.

Unless some degenerate used something to obstruct airflow through the intercooler or ceramically coated the whole thing to insulate it.... It will be fine. Plus, the black or silver paint doesn't reach much into the core of the I/C when it is sprayed... Because it can't. The arrangement of fins between the bars keep it from getting through. Take a flashlight and peer into the core and you'll probably see bare aluminum where the paint didn't touch.

Unless you fellas have a mechanical engineering degree or can define the principles of thermodynamic heat transfer... I'd give it a rest.

I used to test heat exchangers for their thermodynamic heat transfer properties, so yeah...
