I have a 2018 screw 802A, truck has 15,000 miles on it. When i first got the truck it seemed like the heated seats would get nice and hot but now they don’t seem to get nearly as warm on the highest setting.

Anyone else experience this? I’m wondering if the element has gone out, afraid to ask for warranty unless totally necessary based on negative experiences with local dealers service work

thanks in advance
Mine also went out couple if months, apparently Ford has “backlog” of the part and until now my dealer (North Texas area) didn’t get one, i called couple of other dealerships - all with same answer, “backorder”.
Stupid Ford makes about 80 Raptors a day which then sit long on dealer lots before sold because of high prices, slow production down and service your existing customers with those parts, have short backlog on new truck orders - it will serve them better than this situation.

If you guys that have had the dealer repair, could you post up the part numbers or the actual work order? If we can figure out if it's primarily the module or the element, might help others out.

Funny, I tried to look up the parts that were listed previously in this thread and both of them are not compatible with my '18 VIN on the Ford site. Very strange, must be a glitch. Tasca did email me and said the element that was listed here is not in stock and isn't compatible.

Seems to me the module is easier to replace?
Absolutely, but it's $100. Though, if it works it would be way better than dropping it at the dealer and having them waste a few days "diagnosing", even if covered under warranty.

I will probably just order one.

Hey Slick, any chance you can post up a pic of the module under the front seat? It will have the part number clearly visible on a white sticker. Or just verify that it matches what's on the invoice?
I want to make sure I order the right part number. Thx.

I don't have my work order easily available as it's filed at work but I can tell you that I don't think mine was the module as there was quite a strong glue smell when I got the car back. I assume that you don't need glue to install a new module?

Just checked with Tasca and parts are still on backorder with no ETA. Granted this is uncharted territory with COVID19, but how the heck were these parts not available for so long beforehand? Blows my mind that this is a current generation truck and simple parts are not available for it.

2018 here, my seat heat went out a few weeks ago. You and I must have the same dealership because I can't stand leaving mine at Groove Ford in Centennial CO. Last time it was there, truck had 1000 miles on it and was in for recalls. Got it back with some cracks in the finish of front fender.
I decided to take mine in and get the seat heat fixed along with even more recalls about a month ago. Made an appointment, dropped truck off, no loner available, truck sat in their lot for 36 hours before anyone even looked at it. Over 2 weeks later they finally fixed it. B pillar recall was done and now I have rattles like crazy in there. I've come to the conclusion that it's better to have open recalls and burning seat belt tensioners than to let a Ford dealership open up anything on your rig. My Raptor ownership experience has been pure dog$hit from day one. Good luck with the seat heat though, my element was replaced along with the control module.

I was about to switch to Groove Ford after issues at Phil Long... Who do you go to now? Sorry for the off topic.

Guy in this thread recommended Mike Naughton in Aurora. About the same distance for me as fcukin Groove so I'll give them a shot next time. Groove is so **** poor.. I could fill 2 pages with my complaints about them but no one really wants to hear it.
