Ski rack in bed?

Hello,

New member here. I am looking for a ski rack that can be placed in the bed kind of out of the way. On a side note, I am interested in getting a tepui tent so ideally this rack will not interfere with that setup.

Any suggestions?

You could build something like this pretty easily if you're handy: https://www.instructables.com/id/Truck-Bed-Snowboard-Ski-Rack/

Just be aware, unless you have pretty short skis, you'll have to fit them in diagonally. 165's are probably the longest ski you can fit straight on in the short bed.

I also have a roof top tent (CVT) so I was interested in the same thing. What I ended up doing was buying the Retrax Pro XR tonneau cover, because it has t-slots in the rails that allow you to mount crossbars (Yakima, Thule, Rhino Rack, etc). Now I can just drop my tent on top of the crossbars and mount it, or throw ski/snowboard clamps on if I'm not using the tent.

I think ideally, I'll eventually add one of Front Runners universal bed racks, so I have more crossbars and options for mounting other overland style needs. Definitely check it out... it can get expensive, but it's really nice to be able to mount my tent but also have use of a tonneau cover to keep everything in the bed dry and protected.

Nick@GotExhaust (one of the forum supporting vendors) recently sold me the Retrax Pro XR for $1600 (it's on sale this month through them). Good deal considering they are normally $1929.

Hey , thanks for the input @Lasercat and @two24studios. I am also looking for a low profile bed rack for a tepui tent and somehow fit a dometic cfx 100w fridge for some overlanding.
