I ran 5w40 mobile 1 Turbo diesel oil in my 2014 Tremor ecoboost with out issue .Mainly for fuel dilution reasons and arizona summer heat . I'm still undecided if i'm going to run it in my 19 Raptor i'm only at 1500 miles on the clock.

I run Motorcraft Oil in my Cobra Jet. I had my engine rebuilt by a retired SVT engine builder and he said run the motoorcraft oil and just change it often. Save some money. They run the engines for countless hours and found it to be more than adequate

Penzoil Platinum full synthetic per FordTechMakuloco as he stated in a video that this is the only oil he'd run in a 3.5 EcoBoost engine.

I didn't state it, he did which is good enough for me.

If you are somewhere with excessive heat or you just lead foot your truck all the time it’s probably good to run a slightly heavier oil. Turbo subarus recommend that in the manual for extreme heat or heavy usage.

Recommended by my tuner to switch from 5w30 to 5w40 in my Sube. Was losing/burning 5w30 but loves 5w40 Rotella T6.

I'd be careful running a higher viscosity in these motors. There were people spinning bearings in BMWs using too high of a viscosity - oil channels were so thin/small and the oil was not lubricating properly. I see no reason not to use 5w30 if that is what is recommended. Plus, knowing ford they will void your warranty if something happens and they find out you used the wrong weight oil.
