Damn that means this is really an expensive upgrade. I used my winch on my Wrangler like maybe (3) times in 6 years lol. I just like to be prepared though.

Yup, a new IC, the top o da line Warn Winch, the Swarfworks kit, etc., etc. It gets pricey.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m eventually gonna do it. For now I’ll add a come along to my current recovery gear. I’ll also try to make more of a habit of wheeling with others that have a winch or just take my Wrangler.

Same Same. I still need to get my bed cover, rack and RTT so winch will have to be pushed down the line. For now some basic recovery gear and some maxtraxx will have to do.

Another Swarfworks mount here! I also installed COBB Stage 2 at the same time since I needed a new intercooler anyway. The full install is in the video below if anyone is interested in seeing what it takes to do it yourself. Both COBB and Swarfworks have great instructions so it's not step by step, but should give you a good idea of how hard it is. Took me about 9 hours to do everything and it was so worth it. The winch setup is awesome and the truck is so much faster now!

Has anyone used a Non Warn Winch with this Mount Kit? I came across a pretty good winch at a good price because it is missing the Wireless Remote and some mounting hardware. Debating about picking this one winch up because it would still be cheaper after getting a replacement Remote and hardware instead of purchasing a brand new kit

I have a question: how does one access the clutch lever since the winch is hidden?

You need the wireless Warn Zeon S Platinum. The clutch is remote controlled. No other winch will work. I thought I new better and had to trade up to the platinum later..

Yup,

Your only other option is to buy a big ass, winch capable, bumper.
