Does anyone in cold weather states do anything to get the transmission temp up quicker? Of course the remote start gets the engine up to temp, but the transmission takes several miles to heat up. With my 93 performance tune, cold shifts are a bit, shall we say, aggressive.

Pull the tune during the coldest months? Its not like you really need extra power to spin em' on icy roads :).

Trans fluid runs through the aux cooler first then the radiator cooler, which means your engine coolant will help the trans warm up as well.

My trans temp gets to operating temp rather quickly probably just as fast as the coolant. The 6r80 uses a thermostat that stop flow to the cooler until it reaches a certain temperature.
