Just took delivery of my 2013 Wednesday night. Today I was giving it a good look over and went to start the truck to connect my phone to the bluetooth, the PO upgraded to SYNC 3, and it would not start. All the lights came on, easy/entry etc worked but didn't have the juice to start. Put my battery tender on the battery and 2 hours later, still wont start. It is a brand new motorcraft battery that was installed in October of 2019. What I did notice is that after getting out of the truck and locking it, approximately 10 minutes later I came back outside and saw that the SYNC screen was still back lit. Also still have yet to see the raptor splash screen when I open the door or start it. I'm hoping its a bad battery, this is my first raptor so hoping to hear if anyone had similar problems. I read through some threads about the rear camera corrosion and causing a parasitic drain and some of the other issues. The park (P) illuminates red on the dash as well. Thanks fellas

I haven't had or heard of this problem. If it was mine, I would disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, completely charge the battery while disconnected, reconnect and try again. You may have to check for parasitic battery drain if it continues. You could also load check the battery while you're at it. Good luck.

Fuse 27 was done and I installed a new battery on saturday. The screen still stays backlit, and it seems to be because the APIM is out of a 2019 mustang and is too new. Just read through a 50 page thread on another F150 forum and that seems to be the issue.

Yeah, it has to be a 2018 or older. I've read the pre-2018s aren't as reliable too- so, sounds like get a 2018 part to me.

Make sure it's not the stupid switch in the shifter mechanism that tells you you're in park my 2013 did that you shut the truck off 10 minutes later the dash lights up and drains the battery
